Sammie's New Mask: A Coloring Book for Friends of Children with Cancer
(Recommended for K - 3rd Grade)
Sammie's New Mask is about a young girl named Sammie and her friend, Jack, who has cancer. This story addresses concerns and common misconceptions about cancer. This coloring book is designed for children in kindergarten through third grade.
 
 
 
Friend-O-Meter Ruler
Generously paid for by the Employees Community Fund of Boeing St. Louis—the Friend-O-Meter is a new educational tool for friends and siblings of children with cancer. The N.C.C.S. created the ruler to enhance empathy and provide ideas for supporting the cancer survivor during and after treatment. In order to combat some of the isolation children with cancer face, this ruler encourages positive peer interactions and helps to make the transition back to school smoother.  
 

 

The Mountain You've Climbed: A Teen’s  Guide to Childhood Cancer Survivorship
(Recommended for Survivors Ages 12 - 21)

The newest addition to The Mountain You Have Climbed series answers questions on the minds of teen survivors of childhood cancer. Written for teens and young adults, this guide addresses their special concerns about dating and relationships, medical and school issues and their futures. Interviews with teen survivors reflect on their journey and the choices ahead.

 
The Mountain You've Climbed: A Young Adult's Guide to Childhood Cancer Survivorship
(Recommended for Survivors Ages 18 & older)
This guide is designed to answer questions and address issues related to cancer survivorship for people ages 15 to 24. As survivorship rates continue to increase, the knowledge regarding late-effects also continues to increase. This survivorship guide will answer questions as well as address healthy living styles for your future.

N.C.C.S. Global Outreach Program brochure
The National Children’s Cancer Society established its Global Outreach Program in 1993 to address the terrible effects of inadequate or nonexistent medical care for thousands of children with cancer worldwide. The program coordinates the distribution of donated pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and equipment and supportive-care products wherever in the world they are most needed. Since its inception, the program has distributed more than $185 million in donated medical products to 54 facilities in 35 countries around the world—a total of more than one million pounds of desperately needed donations used to treat children with cancer.
